Today is day one. My goal is to blog weekly, maybe twice a week to update everyone and for myself, to see if this regiment works. Here it goes!
My stats
Weight 253
Waist 47
Hips 47
Thighs 24
Upper Arm 14
Chest 55
General everyday feeling: tired, short fused
Acne: red cheeks, very dry skin
Hair: thinning. Excema on scalp very bad.
My Plan
Insulite Regiment
Fish Oil
Calcium
Vitamin D
Low Cal diet 60-80 carbs a day
Logging my food into My Fitness Pal
Working out for 30 minutes a day 5 days a week.
Because it's day one I don't have too much to say. It's a lot of pills, but I knew that going in. I've set up an alarm on my phone to go off when I need to take them. I've also gotten a couple of small Altoids cans and put 10 pills of each in them so that I can put them in my purse when I am not at home eating. I'm drinking a full glass of water each time i take the pills (6 times a day) so I'm peeing alot more (sorry for TMI!).

Who I am
Hi, my names Melissa and I have PCOS and Insulin Resistance. I was diagnosed in 2005, my OBGYN told me that due to my PCOS I would not be able to conceive a child. His solution was to put me on birth control. I was crushed. I sulked and cried and denied for a couple of years and then I got my head out of my ass, put myself on a diet and found a new doctor. I lost 40 pounds, my period came back after almost 4 years. My new OB referred me to a fertility doctor who gave me a Hysterosalpingogram or HSG. We created a plan to start clomid and were waiting for my period to arrive when I found out I was pregnant. My son is now 3 years old... take that OBGYN who said I would never have children! Fast forward to about 6 months ago. I went back to the OB complaining about all my symptoms of PCOS, the thinning hair, acne, boils under the arm, hair growth, anxiety, moodiness and biggest issue for me the inability to lose weight. She put me on Metformin, hoping it would help with my symptoms and help me to lose weight, but I just couldn't do it. The GI side effects were way to much for me. This is when I began researching Insulite and this is when I decided to blog!
I should also mention that I am a pre type 2 diabetic, at this time I am just monitoring my blood sugars, no medicine has been prescribed and I hope that by losing weight and getting my PCOS and Insulin Resistance under control it will help with my sugars.
